Moira brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in leading schools to the role.

Mr T Daly

Vice Principal - Behaviour, Wellbeing and Development

Tom Daly is Vice Principal for Behaviour and Attitudes and joined 鶹APP Collegiate Academy in April 2022. Prior to joining the Trust, Tom had worked in another Sandwell school for 10 years as part of Pastoral and Senior Leadership Teams having previously worked as a teacher of English in Birmingham at the beginning of his career.

Tom firmly believes that good behaviour alongside an excellent attendance record are key factors in students fulfilling their potential. The BMS (Behaviour Management Services) team that Tom leads have the highest expectations of students’ behaviour and expect that staff should be able to teach lessons free from disruption. He is keen to work with students and families to ensure that young people get the most out of all of the opportunities afforded to them at 鶹APP. 

Mr L Fletcher

Vice Principal - Quality of Education

Liam Fletcher has worked at 鶹APP Collegiate Academy for just over 8 years. In that time he has been Head of Design and Technology, Senior Teacher and is now Assistant Principal with a particular focus on timetable, data and careers.

Liam grew up in several different countries owing to his family working abroad. However, he originally comes from Derbyshire and studied at a local secondary school. Liam completed his degree in Product Design and Engineering with Bangor University, part of the University of Wales. Liam’s degree included QTS and is where his passion for working with young people began.

Liam’s belief is that it is our responsibility to remove the barriers that exist for young people and provide them with opportunities to explore their skills, interests, to challenge themselves and explore the world of work.

Mrs J Kaur

Assistant Principal - Teaching and Learning

Jagroop Kaur Gill serves as the Assistant Principal at 鶹APP Collegiate Academy, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to her role. She took up the role in April 2024, assuming responsibility for teaching and learning initiatives.

With a background as a Senior Teacher and Head of Maths at 鶹APP, Jagroop has a proven track record of success. She takes pride in achieving the highest ever progress score in the mathematics department in 2019, demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence.

Jagroop holds a degree in Economics and a Master of Science degree in Analysis and Finance from The University of Leicester. Her passion for education stems from a love of learning and a desire to inspire young people to strive for greatness. Witnessing students unlock their potential and achieve their goals fuels her dedication to the profession.

In her role as Assistant Principal, Jagroop is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive school environment for students, staff, and families. She believes that every individual plays a crucial role in the success of the school and works tirelessly to ensure that all students and staff receive the best learning and teaching experiences. By empowering everyone to move forward positively, she strives to create a culture of growth and achievement.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Jagroop enjoys travelling and meeting new people. One of her favourite destinations is Rajasthan in India, where she was captivated by the Pink City and the underwater palace. Exploring different cultures and cuisines enriches her life and broadens her perspectives.

Mr B Brogan

Assistant Principal - Head of Sixth Form and Mental Health Lead

Ben Brogan is an Assistant Principal at 鶹APP Collegiate Academy, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to his role. He took on the role in April 2024 and holds additional responsibilities as the Head of Sixth Form and Mental Health Lead.

With a diverse background in education, Ben has previously served as the Head of Year 10, Coordinator of Pupil Mental Health and Wellbeing, PE Teacher, and Literacy for Life Teacher. His dedication to student welfare and wellbeing is evident through his achievements, including securing funding for the 鶹APP Shred initiative through Sport England and achieving the National Whole School Wellbeing Gold Award. Ben’s commitment to supporting his students earned him a nomination as a Lockdown Hero in the Teacher of the Year Awards.

Ben is a graduate of the University of Worcester, where he studied Physical Education and Sports Coaching Science. He furthered his education at the University of Warwick, earning a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Secondary).

His passion for education stems from a desire to guide and support the next generation, ensuring they have the best opportunities to succeed and lead fulfilling lives. Ben believes in providing students with both academic and extracurricular opportunities to foster their happiness and growth.

In his role as Assistant Principal, Ben strives to create a supportive and inclusive school environment for students, staff, and families. He emphasises honesty, commitment, and collaboration as key pillars in achieving this goal.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Ben enjoys spending quality time with his family, creating cherished memories together. He is an avid traveller who enjoys exploring different cultures and experiencing new adventures. Additionally, Ben has a deep love for sports, particularly football, which he has been passionate about since childhood.

Mrs S Bradford

Assistant Principal - Assessment, Intervention and Exams

Sarah joined 鶹APP Collegiate Academy in 2012 as the Assistant Head of English, having worked for five years in a large inner-city Birmingham secondary school. Further roles at 鶹APP included the Head of English, Senior Teacher and is now Assistant Principal for KS4 Standards.
Sarah was educated in West Yorkshire, leaving in 2002 to read English at the University of Birmingham. She completed her PGCE at the University of Worcester in 2007. Teaching allows her to combine her love of English alongside working with young people, helping them discover the world through the intricacies of the written word.

Sarah is committed to raising the aspirations of all young people, not only through pedagogical excellence but also through opportunities outside of the classroom that allow students realise their potential.

Mrs K Bates

Assistant Principal - Pastoral

Kathryn joined 鶹APP Collegiate Academy in 2004 as teacher of dance. During her time at the academy, she has been Head of House, Head of Year and Director of Literacy for Life (Pastoral). Kathryn achieved the Leading Parent Partnership Award in December 2022 and was more recently a finalist at the National Awards for Pastoral Care in Education 2023.

Kathryn’s passion is the important role that pastoral care play in student’s academic success. She believes in collaboration with families, and the importance of the tripod to success – family, school and students.
Kathryn was educated in Hertfordshire and moved to the University of Wolverhampton to study Dance.

Mr L Moore

Assistant Principal - CPD and L4L Director (KS3)

Lewis Moore joined 鶹APP Collegiate Academy in 2009 and helped to establish our Literacy for Life (L4L) curriculum (one of our modes of curriculum delivery in KS3). After leading the L4L team for the past 13 years he has now joined the senior team as an Assistant Principal.

During his time at the Academy, Lewis has worked on projects that have developed staff practices around Flipped Learning (homework), audio feedback and the use of tutoring. Lewis has established and nurtured a passion for debate among many of our young people with the Academy debating teams winning the National Debate Mate cup in 2022 and winning the regional league and cup on seven occasions. This has enabled many of our students to receive recognition for their talents beyond our Academy.

Lewis grew up in Cambridge and is an avid fan of his childhood football team and can be found on the weekends coaching a local youth team. After gaining a BSc degree in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Birmingham, Lewis worked in medical research before shifting to the classroom – gaining his PGCE through Teach First at Canterbury Christchurch University. Lewis is a firm believer in providing opportunities for young people that enable them to realise a potential beyond just the traditional curriculum areas.

Ms T Rogers

Designated Safeguarding Lead

Mrs Terri Rogers serves as the Safeguarding Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead at 鶹APP Collegiate Academy, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students and staff. With a wealth of experience spanning over 16 years at 鶹APP, Terri has dedicated herself to supporting students, families, and staff through various supportive roles, including pastoral care, extended services, governance, and most recently, safeguarding.

Terri’s journey into education was driven by her passion for supporting individuals through challenging times. Equipped with qualifications in leadership and management, counselling, and extensive safeguarding training, Terri is committed to promoting a whole-school safeguarding ethos. Her background in counselling enables her to adopt a holistic approach, ensuring that every child’s lived experience and adversity are acknowledged and addressed.

As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Terri works tirelessly to create a supportive and inclusive school environment for students, staff, and families. She collaborates with multiple agencies to ensure that students and their families receive the support they need to thrive. Terri’s role involves empowering staff to recognise and respond effectively to indicators of abuse, while promoting a culture of prevention, protection, partnership and accountability.

Inupholding these principles, Terri strives to create a safe and nurturing environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

Mrs L Prince

Assistant Principal - SENDCo

Since joining 鶹APP in 2010, Mrs. Lucy Prince has held several pivotal roles, including Head of Dance, Creative Director, Staff Governor, and Head of Year 11. Over the past two years, she has spearheaded the innovative `Head Space` mentoring suite and programme, aimed at supporting student behaviour, attitudes, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Lucy is DSL trained, and this training supports ongoing processes in the academy supporting safeguarding.

Lucy is deeply committed to inclusive practice and has consistently demonstrated outstanding teaching skills throughout her career. She advocates for a strong presence and visibility, believing firmly in the connection between behaviour and inclusion, which is central to her educational philosophy.

Her natural alignment with student services and passion for pastoral care made becoming a SENCo a seamless transition. Lucy prioritises direct, hands-on involvement with complex children and families, ensuring they receive the support they need. She is dedicated to supporting not just students, but also their families and the wider community, ensuring that access to support is always available.

Outside of her professional role, Lucy enjoys long walks and swimming.
